Job description
We are a growing Internet Service Provider in Kangra seeking a Network Engineer to
manage and optimize our network infrastructure. This role combines fieldwork and
technical expertise, directly impacting our service quality.
Key Responsibilities:
• Configure and manage Mikrotik and Cisco routers/switches.
• Set up and troubleshoot VLANs, BGP, OSPF, firewalls, and network loops.
• Install and maintain OLTs, NAS devices, fiber, and Ethernet cabling.
• Monitor L2/L3 networks and resolve real- me network issues.
• Conduct field installations, including climbing radio masts when necessary.
• Maintain network documenta on and SOPs.
Requirements:
• 2–3 years in network operations (preferably ISP experience).
• Hands-on experience with Mikrotik and Cisco hardware.
• Strong knowledge of IP protocols, AAA (Radius/TACACS), MPLS, QoS,
STP/RSTP.
• Understanding of the OSI model, VLAN management, and network monitoring.
• Relevant certifications (Mikrotik/Cisco) preferred.
• Problem-solving mindset, field-ready, self-driven, and team-oriented.
• Must reside within 30 min of Dharamshala with independent 24x7 transport.
